Leight Hearted Babble

There’s a first time for everything.

Until just a few moments ago I had never called a Congressman.

I guess I never really felt the need. But, the closer President Obama’s HealthCare Reform comes to being law, the more I feel the need to at least voice my opposition.

I’m an optimist and can usually find some positive in whatever comes my way. So, even though I’m strongly opposed to this reform, I don’t think it’ll be the death of America if it passes. However, if you respect the rule of law and the Constitution you have to be a little concerned about how it’s coming about.

I am.

That’s why I just called Ohio Congressman Charlie Wilson’s office. I don’t live in Ohio, but, all of Alabama’s Representatives have pledged to vote No and Rep. Wilson is one of the remaining undecided votes. His decision will affect me so I wanted to let him know how I felt.

You should too.

(I was tempted to give out names and phone numbers but, if you don’t care enough to look them up, you shouldn’t be calling anyway.)
